Resurrected Roamer has always been about outfitting the adventure and exploring the wild outdoors. But over time, the question shifted from how we explore the world to how we build our own sanctuary within it. Welcome to the Resurrected Homestead—a dedicated expansion of our journey, built entirely around the pursuit of true, hands-on self-sufficiency.

So, why are we doing this? Because freedom isn't just about where you can travel; it’s about independence at home. It’s about knowing exactly where your food comes from, taking control of your resources, and building a living, breathing ecosystem right in the backyard. This isn't just a hobby. It’s about putting years of hands-on construction and electrical experience to work to engineer a reliable, sustainable lifestyle that can weather any storm.

We aren't jumping in blind. Transforming a piece of land into a fully operational food source requires a strict, calculated approach. We are executing a five-stage rollout to ensure every element of the homestead supports the next.

The Five-Stage Blueprint:

Stages 1 & 2: The Ground Game We are kicking things off this summer by launching our Coturnix quail operation. To make this happen, we are outfitting an enclosed carport facility, wiring it up, and preparing it to become the central hub for our small livestock. Following the quail, we'll be expanding the facility to welcome Isa Brown chickens, guinea fowl, and meat rabbits. This establishes our baseline for sustainable, high-quality protein and natural pest control.

Stages 3 & 4: Scaling Up Once the land and the carport facility are producing and operating smoothly, the focus shifts to scaling our operations, refining our feeding systems, and preparing the groundwork for the most ambitious part of the build.

Stage 5: The Aquaponics Ecosystem The ultimate goal of the Resurrected Homestead culminates in our aquaculture build. We will be constructing a three-pond greenhouse aquaponics system to raise catfish and crawfish. This closed-loop system represents the pinnacle of our self-sufficiency plan, merging water, agriculture, and livestock into one continuous cycle.
